I'm going to start by saying I'm sorry. And yes, I am going to try and sell you an antique hairbrush.
I'm sorry I haven't been posting here more. There's been a lot going on in Pablo and my real lives related to work, immigration frustrations and the like. But the worst is over and I suspect in the next month I'll have a lot more to say here.
I hope so anyway.
So now the ad. Or ads. As some of you know, I've had an odd fixation on antique hairbrushes for years. I blame sparkle (no really!) because she showed me a gorgous one she found clearing her grandmother's house and I knew I must have one. (I should have re-thought that. Nothing should be this painful!) They appeal to me because they're so ordinary (can be left out, not made for kink purposes, though they might well seem to be), so beautiful (oval hand drawn brushes are truly lovely) and so very very painful. There's nothing fun about a hairbrush spanking, at least for me, and that's what works for me. It's very easy to feel like a punished, sorry little girl when the hairbrush gets into action with me otk.
Anyway, a good rule of thumb is that if you shop for something for long enough, you will find the perfect one. I've probably purchased 25 or 30 antique brushes over the past 6 years. Many I've given away to friends (and o boy have they been thankful!). I never thought I'd end up selling them. But, although we should be fine in a month or so, Pablo and I have been having some financial woes, mostly related to my fellowship stipend ending in June and his not being able to work for 6 months while the INS (or whatever they call themselves these days) sorted out his work permit. Consequently, we need some cash right now and so in the past few months I've been slowly selling off my little collection on eBay. I'm posting this because I really would like to know the brush had gone to a spanko. That feels right somehow. :)
The first is among the nicest I've put up for auction. In fact, I think over all it is the nicest. The bristles are barely yellowed at all, even though it's probably over 100 years old. The ebony is smooth, cool, heavy and very black. The dimensions are something you'd need to get from the eBay ad, but trust me when I say this thing is a lot heavier than it looks. Ebony is a very dense and very hard wood, so even though it isn't thick, the brush has some heft to it.
Please consider the following as both illustration of the brush's use and a warning that it's not to be taken lightly.
Pablo took it for a test drive on my backside and ouch! He said he was doing the spanking at about 40 - 60% and it was all I could take. He definitely had to hold me in place over his knee by the 10th whack! Long before 50 I started to cry and plead, finally apologizing by saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!!"
"For what?" he asked. Since I couldn't say "for buying that damn brush" as that would be viewed as snarky by Mr. Impossible, I fell back on the classic "I don't know." This amused him to no end. He claims the brush has a good feel in the hand and seems sized more for a man's hand than a woman's (unless the woman had big hands, of course.). If you're looking for a classic oval wooden hairbrush for otk spanking, this would be the one. Ouch!
The second is not an antique nor is it a hairbrush. It's a made in China clothes brush, probably, according the dealer I bought it and its siblings (this is my last one) from, made in the 1980s. The wood is light and the brush, while not small, doesn't really look very large. Pablo has suggested that it's something of a keep-in-the-glove box sort of brush.
I made the mistake of assuming it wouldn't be very painful to be spanked with it. Man-o-man was I wrong! Even over panties this thing stung like crazy. It doesn't have that deep thuddy pain that I associate with antique brushes, so it probably wouldn't be as likely to cause bruising (I rarely bruise anymore so am not a good example). It has the feel of a fun spanking brush -- not with the serious parental feel of the ebony, but still packing a hearty sting and wallop.
And there you have it. My spanking brush auctions. There may be another later in the week, but for now that's it. You're welcome to come look and bid if you want. I ship worldwide and take PayPal.
Oh and I'm also auctioning a limited edition Olympus O-Product camera and a Mamiya Medium Format camera outfit.
Happy bidding and sorry for my shameless promoting. At least I haven't resorted to Google ads here yet. God only knows what those would turn up.
Maybe we can use this as a discussion point on the merits of hairbrushes for punishment spankings? Anyone? In our house they seem far more effective than either the cane or strap.
